  • First half of two-part course on the business environment and the use of managerial and financial accounting information for business decision marking. Introduces business organization and planning for corporate operations.

  • Principles of Economics (3)
  • Survey and introduces of economics; emphasizes certain fundamental principles, and their application to question of policy and contemporary economic issues.

  • Elementary Statistics (3)
  • Collection, presentation of data; averages; dispersion; introduction to statistical inference, regression and correlation.

  • Calculus for Social Sciences (3)
  • The real number system, functions, analytic geometry, derivatives, integrals, maximum-minimum problems.

  • English Conversation I (2)
  • An introductory course on the English conversation. Four language skills -reading, writing, comprehensive, and speaking-will be developed step-by-step.

  • Introduction to Microcomputer (2)
  • The hardware, firmware and software organization of microcomputer systems; basic operating system concepts, concurrent processes, CPU and disk scheduling, memory management, systems evaluation and performance measurement.

  • Software Package Application (2)
  • Application to word processing, spreadsheets and database software. Taught in classrooms equipped with personal microcomputers.

  • Japanese I (2)
  • An introductory course on the Japanese language. Four language skills-reading, writing, comprehensive, and speaking-will be developed step-by-step.

  • Fundamentals of Microeconomics (3)
  • Elementary analysis of the price system and the allocation of economic resources.

  • Managerial Marketing (3)
  • Analysis and control of an integrated marketing program with special emphasis on prices, products, promotion, and channels of distribution.

  • Accounting II (3)
  • Second half of two-part course on the business environment and use of managerial and financial accounting information for business decision making. Emphasizes use of accounting information within and external to corporations.

  • Personal Risk Management and Insurance (3)
  • Teaches the importance of risk in personal endeavors and the intelligent handing of such risk. Life, health, auto, homeowner and liability risks are treated.

  • A secondary course on the Japanese language. Four language skills -reading, writing, comprehensive, and speaking-will be developed step-by-step.

  • Fundamental concepts of current database systems with emphasis on the relational data models.

  • Fundamentals of Macroeconomics (3)
  • Measurement of economic activity; determinants of national income and investment; forecasting national income; money, prices and inflation; monetary and fiscal policy.

  • Economics of International Trade (3)
  • The microeconomic theory of international trade. Topics include comparative advantage, the theory of commercial policy, economic integration, trade with LDCs, the trade effects of economic growth.

  • The International Monetary System (3)
  • Study of macroeconomic and monetary relationships between the Taiwan and the world. Topics include balance of payments, foreign exchange rates, and history of the international monetary system.

  • International Organization Ethics (3)
  • Case studies, discussion, and readings used to integrate critical thinking about ethical issues into international business decision. Development and application of ethical decision making frameworks.

  • Theory and techniques of financial management, study of firm valuation, dividend policy, capital budgeting and capital asset pricing.

  • Business Judicial Behavior (2)
  • Critical examination, both practical and methodological, and behavior literature in international business law. Emphasizes impact of judicial decisions and relations of judiciaries to their environments.

  • Communication principle (2)
  • How to reach the business through proper communication media, such as visual perception, vocabulary, the role of words and pictures.

  • Investment (3)
  • Security valuation and analysis, formulation of personal and professional investment programs.

  • Derivative Financial Securities (3)
  • Overview of derivative securities including financial futures and options, swaps and financial engineering.
