A reading of selected Chinese Classics, using a standard college Chinese Literature Text-book Ⅳ.
A reading of selected modern English prose, using a standard college English Text-book Ⅳ.
Origin of the Chinese revolution and history the rise of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen；problems of political integration, economic growth, and social transformation. Discussion of selected subjects.
To provide basic concepts of statistics, and the ability of observation, deduction analysis and judgement. To integrate ideas about statistics by way of discussing, collecting information, and implementing procedure of analysis and the rules of making judgement.
